NLG Convention passes resolutions in support of struggles in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Palestine and for UN Treaty Reporting

The National Lawyers Guild Convention, which took place in Philadelphia on October 12-16, 2011, passed multiple resolutions sponsored or supported by the International Committee and its subcommittees, including resolutions supporting the workers' movement in Mexico, solidarity with Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rican independence movement, support for Palestinian political prisoners on hunger strike, and support for UN treaty reporting and use at local levels.

The Convention also passed resolutions to support the labor boycott of Hyatt, to support a labor call for December protests around economic rights, and in support of the Occupy Together movement springing from Occupy Wall Street. Many convention delegates visited or took part in OccupyPhilly, the Philadelphia Occupy protest, while attending the convention.

The resolutions are available on the right of this page for download, distribution and use.
