COMMISSIONS

Help Organize the Guild's Commission

The Guild will be organizing one of six Commissions at the Congress. The theme of this Commission is Accountability for International Crimes. Sub-themes include (but are not limited to):

- Corporate Accountability;
- Reparations for slavery, victims of agent orange, and victims of war, e.g., nuclear and chemical weapons
- Fighting Impunity
- Using Universal Jurisdiction

We will be organizing to prepare papers and presentations on these topics in the near future. If you have already notified us that you would like to work on a paper, we will contact you shortly to get started.

If you have written on these topics before, please contact Jeanne Mirer. Hopefully, we can use this page as a discussion forum for further development of these sub-themes. A more detailed synopsis of the Commission's goals and scope will be posted in the near future.

The commissions are expected to present a comprehensive report to the congress with concrete proposals for action. It is expected that the report from the commissions to the general assembly may make recommendations for formation of working groups to address the various issues for formation of working groups to address the various issues for implementation of the program for the IADL.
